I saw that blank wall and needed it to be pink so badly.
She gave me brushes and rollers and told me to go at it if I wanted to, making me beam and excitedly empty my closet of its contents, painting as far as I could reach pink, a bold splotch in the bottom third of the drab, white closet wall.
Now, that same desire to make things beautiful and expressive is still there, stretching to every medium I can get my hands on. Digital design, painting, writing, videography — you name it, I’ve tried it.
Creating and designing is what I do, and I want to share that with all of you. Every technique I’ve picked up, every unique color combo I’ve found that works, all the foundational information I’ve picked up along the way.
So if you’ve got a white wall somewhere in your life, stick around, and let me help you make it pink.

Who is Syd?
I don’t think I’ve ever met a medium for expression that I didn’t love.
As my family made our home truly ours when I was 5 years old, I stared at the blank walls becoming beautiful colors of my mom’s choosing, creating somewhere I never wanted to leave. And as I opened every drawer in my room to pick out something to play with, I noticed that my family had overlooked my favorite part of my room: my closet. I walked right up to my mom and asked her why they hadn’t painted the closet wall pink to match the rest of my room, to which she replied, “People don’t usually paint closets.”
I wasn’t, and am not, a usual person though.
